Delay- and disruption-tolerant networking is an approach to computer network architecture that seeks to address the technical issues in heterogeneous networks that may lack continuous network connectivity. Such networks include low-powered wireless (IEEE 802.15.4 standard) sensors and their networks that utilizes essential amount of resources (energy, communications) to send the data remotely. To solve this issue its intended to create communication protocol that involves “data mules” which in their turn are mobile wireless sensors or their base stations capable of transporting data entrusted to them between two endpoints – remote wireless sensor network and central hub. |

Communications in Delay and Disruption Tolerant Wireless Sensor Networks
Delay- and disruption-tolerant networking is an approach to computer network architecture that seeks to address the technical issues in heterogeneous networks that may lack continuous network connectivity. Such networks include low-powered wireless (IEEE 802.15.4 standard) sensors and their networks that utilizes essential amount of resources (energy, communications) to send the data remotely. To solve this issue its intended to create communication protocol that involves “data mules” which in their turn are mobile wireless sensors or their base stations capable of transporting data entrusted to them between two endpoints – remote wireless sensor network and central hub.
